Suganda BHA Serum Review | Oily, Combination and Acne Prone Skin Types | 2% Salicylic Acid | Gotu Kola | Green Tea

Hello #blogfam,
Our skin naturally sheds lots of skin cells every year. As our age increases, the natural shedding process slows down or stops due to various factors like sun damage, genetics, health issues, skin disorders, etc. Due to this our skin looks dull and we face various issues like blemishes, uneven skin tone, clogged pores, etc. Now, the question arises - How to solve this issue? This issue can be solved with exfoliation. Exfoliation is a process by which our skin gets rid of various impurities and dead skin cells. This helps us to achieve a clearer, cleaner and brighter skin. AHA and BHA exfoliators are known to be your skin's doctor which help you to achieve better skin for long run. With regular usage of skincare products with AHA or BHA (according to your skin type) your skin gets better for the long run.
What is AHA?
AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxyl Acid. It is derived from natural substances like milk, grapes and sugarcane. It is found in:
Lactic acid (derived from milk)
Glycolic acid (derived from sugarcane)
Citric acid (derived from citrus fruits)
Mandelic acid (derived from bitter almonds)
Malic acid (derived from apples and pears)
Tartaric acid (derived from grapes)
AHA exfoliators penetrate into the skin and exfoliates it well. With regular usage, they improve the skin's texture, complexion and other issues like dryness, flaky skin, etc. AHA exfoliators are best suitable for people with normal and dry skin types.

What is BHA?
BHA stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid. It is derived from willow bark tree and citrus fruits. It is found in:
Salicylic acid (derived from willow bark tree)
Citric acid (derived from citrus fruits, it is converted into BHA with formulation)
BHA exfoliators penetrates deeply into the skin (deeper than AHA exfoliators). It helps to deep clean clogged pores and normalise the lining of the pores, reducing the occurrence of acne. BHA exfoliators also have anti-flammatory and antibacterial properties, so they are best suited for oily, acne prone and sensitive skin types.

My Experience
I have been using BHA serum since three weeks and I have noticed few changes in my skin. I use this serum after cleaning and toning my skin. I take 2-3 drops of Suganda BHA Serum and massage well onto my skin for 2-3 minutes so that it penetrates into the skin. After this I apply a moisturiser and a sunscreen during day time and I skip the sunscreen if I include BHA serum in my night time routine. It is recommended that you should never skip using a sunscreen if you are using it in day time. A serum should never be left alone in the skincare routine, it has to be accompanied with a moisturiser for sure.

I started using Suganda BHA serum in humid weather, so I thought that it might leave my skin greasy but it penetrated well into the skin within few minutes. My skin is not greasy after the application of serum and a moisturiser. Within a week, I could notice that few blemishes were fading away. I had a small pimple near my mouth and it vanished away in two days. This was a WOW moment for me.

It has been three weeks that I am using Suganda BHA Serum and my skin looks clean, less oily (specially in this humid weather when I don't feel like applying anything on my skin) and even toned (around 30-40%). I have also noticed that the whiteheads and blackheads occurrence is delayed (I got a clean up done before using this serum) as usually I can see them back on my skin within two weeks. So, this products is a wonder serum for my skin type and I will continue to use it further too.

Rating
I am loving the experience with this serum, so I would rate this as 4.5/5. (.5 is deducted because I am waiting for some long terms effects to be visible on my skin). I would recommend Suganda BHA Serum to every person who has oily or acne prone skin types. Even if you have sensitive skin like me, it would suit your skin well. You can use it on alternative days if you have sensitive skin type.

I hope this review was informative for you. Please, share it with your friends and family to spread the news and let's all have a better skin in future. Also leave a feedback comment below.

Thank you!

  33. Hey I'm thinking of buying this. I've oily skin and sometimes during my days I've acne which are hormonal. Also I want clear skin. Can I buy this and what moisturizer shall I use after this which moisturizes my skin well also doesn't react with the product. Please suggest something. This is the first time I'll be using something of this sort. I have never used chemical exfoliation before. I wish to try it. I've open pores and pimple marks on my skin too. My age is 21.
