First International Trip - Shanghai, Meeting International Brands, Chinese Temple and many more...

First travel trips are always special, but my First International Trip was more than a dream come true. I belong to a middle class family, raised by my Mother alone, so I never dreamed of travelling Internationally as I knew we couldn't afford it. But... When God has a plan then HE helps us to find a way to execute it. God has planned not just one but two International trips for me - First one to Shanghai and Second one to Korea. My First International Trip to Shanghai came as a surprise to me and it was a life changer for me.
First International Trip - Shanghai

God made a plan for me...
In November 2017, I started working with an International Beauty company as a social media associate. Impressed with my hard work and dedication towards the company, my Director was happy. In that company only Directors had a chance to travel internationally and gain more experience by interacting with other brands and attending workshops, training and exhibitions. But who knew that God had planned something good for me. I got a surprise in the month of April 2018. Aha!! It came as a shock for me!!

Surprise!! Surprise!!
In the end of April 2018, my Director informed me that our Boss wants me to accompany him for an International Exhibition and meeting with International brands. And.... I was shocked because I never expected this nor I had my passport. I knew that it is impossible for me to travel overseas, but as I say when God plans for you then HE shows you the way to execute it. So, within 40 days, I had a target to get my passport and VISA done for Shanghai. Did I do it? Yes, because I was excited to gain such an incredible experience.

In May 2018, I experienced my First International Trip to Shanghai. My mother and brother were happy and confident that I would take care of myself for 5 days but I was nervous and worried. I was feeling proud of my dedication that I gained such an opportunity which became a life changer for me. Everything went as planned. The DAY WAS HERE!!!!

Time to fly!!!
It wasn't easy for me to be prepared for my First International Trip because I didn't know how it would go through the airport and what would I eat (as I am a vegetarian). So, I packed few cups of Maggie, Upma and snacks for myself. To be prepared for airport procedure, I watched few YouTube videos and got to know the process well. I entered the airport and I saw my dream coming true. I smoothly went through the process and waited for the announcement of my Airplane. I was excited and happy because I knew that MY MOM WAS HAPPY AND PROUD OF ME TRAVELLING INTERNATIONALLY.

Hong Kong International Airport

Clouds, clouds, all around...
The flight took off and I landed at the Hong Kong airport for transfer! And what a beauty it is!! Hong Kong International Airport is so beautiful and the exteriors have clouds floating at your level. I was surprised to see such a sight for the first time. I also showed it to my family over video call because I wanted them to experience this as well. Within 2.5 hours of stoppage, I roamed around and had a cup of coffee. Once I boarded the connecting flight then I was coming closer to my dreams. I landed in Shanghai and saw it all around. It was neat, clean and amazing. Till now I didn't face any issue but here there were few officials who knew English, so I got confused at the last stage but luckily Chinese officials were good and they helped me with the process. My Director had guided me well through the Shanghai airport, so I knew where to go and meet him.

Landed in Shanghai...
We sat in the cab and headed towards our hotel. On the way, I saw all around and it looked so so amazing that I can't express in words. I am sure you would imagine how First International Trips make us excited to explore a new place. I loved exploring Shanghai through 3 days Beauty Exhibition where I met so many International brands, spoke to their Directors, gained knowledge and got to know so much about Beauty Industry. This experience was a life changer for me and I did change from this point.

Life Changer Experience...
I noticed that people prefer taking public transport or bicycles to travel. We did use metro and walked the rest of the time. This would be first time that I walked so much in 4-5 days but I loved it as I walked through beautiful lanes with nature all around.

The exhibition was huge and conducted over for 3 days. Brands from all over world participated and I did got beauty products from them to try on and share the feedback. One thing, I learnt here was that International women are very serious about their skincare and haircare but at the same time they love minimal things. I liked the way people around me were helpful and shared enough knowledge about products, ingredients, packaging and many more technical things that go around while preparing Beauty products. I can never forget this experience.

Later, when we had 2 days left then we met few brands, conducted meetings and last day went to Chinese temple, market to shop few things and not to miss the restaurants that served delicious Vegetarian food. All thanks goes to my Director who accompanied me on the trip and he found out best places for me to try different vegetarian food and made sure that it was pure vegetarian. I feel so lucky to have kind people around my workplace.

While we were travelling back, I just revived these moments during flight journey and captured them in my best experience forever. I did some shopping for my family from Chinese market and Hong Kong Airport. They came down to the airport to receive me and I was so happy to see them and just talked all the way about my experience. Who knew that God had a better plan for me as well in store - MY SECOND INTERNATIONAL TRIP TO KOREA. I would share about Korea soon as it started with a bang. Imagine what would happen if you get your VISA just few hours before your flight and the tickets were cancelled. Well, wait for that experience!

Let me know about your First International Trips!! How did you like my experience? Do share your thoughts in the comments below.

Thank you!
