I and my family got introduced to Best and Sensitive Baby Wipes Brands when my nephew was born. If you have a baby at home then baby wipes come in handy to clean anything without worrying a lot. There are many uses of Baby wipes like it helps to wipe baby's body, clean spit-ups, clear mess on the bum, clean spills around and even maintain baby's hygiene. While selecting the best baby wipes, you need to look for products that are free from harsh chemicals and are gentle on their skin. Over the last 1 year, I have been trying different brands for my nephew's sensitive skin and here's a list of my Top 4 Best and Sensitive Baby Wet Wipes Brands in India 2021.

Top 4 Best and Sensitive Baby Wet Wipes Brands in India 2021

1. Mother Sparsh 99% Pure Water Baby Wipes - #Unscentedwipes

Mother Sparsh Baby Wipes tops my list by being India's #FirstWaterWipes. They are made of super soft Plant-Based Medical Grade cloth and water. Mother Sparsh did a lot of research before bringing the concept of 99% water-based wet wipes to India. The fabric is three times thicker than usual baby wipes, yet super soft for sensitive skin. Being unscented, these baby wipes are free from artificial fragrance/scent. They are tested by dermatologists and clinically tested for rashes and infections (due to the presence of 99% water). So, you can use them for your baby without any worries.

Top 4 Best and Sensitive Baby Wet Wipes Brands in India 2021 Mother Sparsh

The most common issue that many of us face is that wet wipes dry up within few seconds of usage but #MotherSparsh Baby Wipes remain wet for a long time. Yes, they do, I kept it out and it didn’t dry up for 20 minutes. Being water-based, the thick fabric holds up the wetness for a longer time until you are done with the work. This made my belief in the brand stronger and now my Bhabhi is hooked to Mother Sparsh. Also, did I mention the moisture lock lid? Well, this lid is an added feature because it makes sure that wet wipes are fresh and wet for the next usage.

Suitable for : Kids and Adults

Skin Type : Normal to Sensitive Skin Types

Wipes Material : Plant-based fabric, biodegradable

Price : Rs. 299 for 72 baby wet wipes

Worth Buying : Totally Yes!

2. Himalaya Gentle Baby Wipes with Aloe Vera and Indian Lotus Extracts

Himalaya is a known brand since long for it’s baby care products are formulated with Ayurvedic concepts. They don't use parabens, sulphates, alcohol, silicones and other harsh chemicals. Himalaya Gentle Baby Wipes are infused with the goodness of Indian Lotus and Aloe Vera Extracts that add extra moisturising properties to their wet wipes. The fabric is thinner (so doesn’t hold up wetness for long) but soft on the baby’s skin. These natural and herbal baby wipes are clinically tested and safe to use on sensitive skin.

The experience with Himalaya Gentle Baby Wipes was good. They cleaned the baby’s skin well and it looked fresh and moisturised. The wet wipes do have some refreshing fragrance that keeps the baby’s skin scented for few hours. This gives a doubt that it does contain added fragrance. Though being natural and herbal, it is safe for the baby’s skin, but I would suggest to avoid for super sensitive skin as added fragrance might add some tingle. Apart from that, these are good option for those on ta tight budget. Also, the pull and seal sticker doesn't ensure 100% protection to keep the remaining wipes wet for long. If dust sticks to the gum of pee and stick top then it won't stick nicely. Hence, the thin fabric holds wetness for a long time as compared to Mother Sparsh Baby Wipes.

Suitable for : Kids and Adults

Skin Type : Normal to Dry, Oily Skin Types

Wipes Material :  Natural and Herbal, Non-Biodegradable

Price :  Rs. 175 for 72 baby wet wipes

Worth Buying : Yes, if you are on a tight budget!

3. Johnson's Baby Skincare Wipes - Clinically Proven Mild

Johnson has been one of the top brands in the baby’s skincare range. Johnson's Baby Skincare Wipes are made using innovative water-saturated fibre which helps to hold 3 times better moisturisation. They don't use any harsh chemicals and are free from soap and alcohol. The brand ensures that each wipe is skin-friendly for babies, hence, it goes through 5 levels of the strict process ensuring that each ingredient is safe. The wet wipes have sponge-like fibres which are soft and keeps the baby’s skin moisturised for 1-2 hours.

After using Johnson's Baby Skincare Wipes, then the baby's skin looked clean, fresh and scented for few hours. As each wipe is enriched with moisturising ingredients, so it prevents rashes and dryness after usage (which is quite common in few other brands as well). The wipes are not too thin and hold wetness for few minutes (but not too long as compared to Mother Sparsh Water-based Wet Wipes). Also ,the moisture lock-in lid is quite useful and helps to keep the remaining wipes wet for next usage.

Suitable for : Kids and Adults

Skin Type : Normal to Sensitive

Wipes Material : Natural, Non-Biodegradable

Price : Rs. 230 for 80 baby wet wipes

Worth Buying : Yes!

4. Pampers Fresh Clean Baby Wipes

Pampers is a well-known diaper brand, but their baby wipes didn't gain too much popularity like other famous brands. Pampers Fresh Clean Baby Wipes are made with soft material and soft grip texture that makes them gentle and safe for sensitive skin. The grip also ensures that wet wipes don't tear off easily and remain intact until use. The wipes are skin-friendly and leaves baby's skin refreshing for long hours due to added fragrance. Though the fragrance is quite light and non-irritating. Pampers Fresh Clean Baby Wipes are tested by dermatologists and safe to use.

Pampers claim that their baby wipes maintains pH balance of baby's skin. But, I am not sure of this. Though they keep baby's skin moisturised for long time because of moisturising ingredients. Being soft, these wipes don’t cause any irritation or rashes on baby's skin. The moisture lock lid is a life saviour as it ensures that the remaining wipes are wet for next usage.

Suitable for : Kids and Adults

Skin Type : Normal to Dry, Oily

Wipes Material : Natural Fabric, Non-Biodegradable

Price : Rs. 184 for 64 baby wet wipes

Worth Buying : Yes, if you are on tight budget!

These are the Top 4 Best and Sensitive Baby Wet Wipes Brands in India 2021. You can select the ones that you would prefer. But if you ask me, I would prefer water-based, #unscentedwaterbasedwipes because they are safe for sensitive skin. Mother Sparsh 99% #PureWaterBabyWipes is the one for me and my family. Also being biodegradable they are better for environment and reduce waste. We need to think for the environment too. So, now its your turn to make the decision.

Also, few of you asked me that - can we use baby wipes to remove makeup?

Well, yes you can use them but there are few limitations. Baby wipes for sensitive skin are helpful to clean dirt, impurities from your facial skin along with light makeup. But if you have done waterproof, heavy makeup then it won't clean it effectively. So, you can use them for every day makeup removal and then clean your face with a nice cleanser to remove any left traces of makeup from your face. Also, they can be used to clean hands, surfaces and knobs/handles.

I hope, you made your decision till now. Do let me know your preference in the comments below. Share the article with others to spread the information.

Thank You!
